Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Has anyone experience problems printing layouts with company logo on them. If so have you been able to lay your finger on why it only prints on some layouts and not all of them. Has it been none predicable?

P3 claim there is nothing wrong with the software. But we cannot get it to print, whether it is adobe or direct to a printer, local or network.

I have do some tests before. Same logo in different format, so different file size. Then same printer driver, some work, some not (even in preview). In most situation, due to the size of logo file is too big. I check the print queue size also, not only just print out or not). Some successful print out but the logo from colour to B/W only.

Then select those successful logo file with different printer driver to same printer, do the test again. Some printing failure. Those printer drivers are standard, postscript and PCL.

Hi All,,

I have met this problem in the past..I found this problem comes from big file size..once I convert the file to Jpg formate or gif..with smaller size.(you can adjust the size through Adobe photoshop or Illustrator)..it works.

If the Printer Memory is supporting the big file size..it will print..it depends upon the memory of the printer mainly.

You mean that the path is "C:\P3WIN" do you not? The difference between your answer and this one may be the answer to your problem.

I have tried different logo’s with different size files and still no luck. The path is C:p3win so very short.

I have just seen a copy within the company that does not even allow you to attach a BMP file. It comes up with File format unknown. Any Ideas

My experience: -
- If the logo file size is big, fail to print
- The printer driver support the logo format or not, same printer may have standard driver, postscript drive, PCL driver. All have different result
- Location of logo file. Long path is not recommended.

We are using P3 Ver 3.1 with Windows XP. We have the latest service pack installed. We have tried different logo’s and different printers.
