Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

What is the strangest thing you have come across whilst planning?

To start you off, I think mine was the engineer that insisted that he was going to install a transformer into a room. I checked all the drawings and there was no transformer in that room or even on site, anywhere.

After checking again I asked him where he got the idea about the transformer. His reply "HVAC means a transformer, High Voltage Alternating Current, I’m not stupid you know".

When I explained that it actually stood for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, he was rather surprised to say the least!

He then fitted a chiller unit instead...
