Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I think there is some mis-understanding.
In P3 programme, on data structure, there are 2 levels, one is master and the other is sub (some user will name it project and sub-project).
To make it simple, you need to review the activities (no matter in project or sub-project).

When you say review the master,do I have to change anything in there. I thought the master and the Target are the same?

Yes.
Besides the sub-programmes, those activities in master level need to be review their progress also.

So all I have to do is put the new dates in the sub progs and schedule to current date?

Except the hommack, need to review all non-complete activites for progress input.
I would like to name the process "progress input" or "progress update" rather "update"

The Master has been devided into 3 sub programmes. I need to input new dates into the programmes to check progress or slipage.

Mario,
Would you mind to explain the meaning of ’update’?
Is it for input the progress or preparing a revision. The approach is different.
Also you have mentioned the term ’master’ and ’sub’ of a P3 programme. P3 data structures need to be considered also.

Master program is not updated usually.you have to udate the current shedule only.Master program/base program is with which you are comparing the current progress.
