Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi everyone,

I just had a quick question about MS Project Server. Does MS Project Server support the ability for multiple users (leads) to edit a project plan at the same time?

If MS Project Server does not support this function, are there any other applications that may? Thanks!

Primavera Systems will support multi-editing on the same project, the only limation is on the record level; which actually means that it will allow changes on one record by the user that first accesed it. It will not allow 2 users access the same record(acticity) at the same time.

I hope this helps you!!!!!

Answering to the last part of your question, Primavera, and some other packages, supports multiuser editing, with the same limitatons of a concurrent database. This means that if you have two users updating the same data at the same time, only one change will be made to the central database in order to keep data integrity.

Hope this is of help.

Hi there,

No, you can’t actually have multi-users accessing the same project with Project Server 2003.
