Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi All,

This question has already been asked before but I haven't been satisfactorily answered.

I'll start with a clarification/condition first as it might be helpfull in not receiving the same answer to the same question: I'm come from Primavera P6 scheduling background enforced by market conditions where P6 is specified in the contracts; Primavera P6 must be used as a scheduling/planning tool.

Having said that; I'm not quuiet clear exactly what the thread titles says:

  • What additional knowledge and set of skills are needed for a P6 planner to migrate to BIM 4D
  • Where do one starts
  • What tools/software is needed
  • Any available and recognized training/certification

I'd appreciate it if more light can be shed on the subject matter; it seems like wehere ever I turn to; someone wants to demo a product for me and I end up where I started; no answers!

Thatnk you.

Rami
