Planning Manager, Thales, FFG Upgrade

Led a team of six planners and three schedulers to ensure all activities relating to FFG installation were planned, scheduled, monitored and controlled in a cost and schedule effective manner.  Ensure measurement of progress through appropriate systems and processes and actively address situations of significant deviations from plan in coordination with Project Manager. Maintain cost and schedule visibility to all levels of management.

Specific Responsibilities

¨             Plan, estimate and coordinate the mechanical, structural, electrical and other services to achieve installation efficiencies.

¨             Manage schedule to form basis of work execution and resource management.

¨             Prepare work pack Completion and Readiness Reports.

¨             Facilitate frequent interaction with supervisors to ensure schedule delivery.

¨             Actively monitor progress.

¨             Gather data and produce reports as required to maintain visibility of progress.

¨             Communicate to all levels of Project Team on a regular basis to ensure resource utilisation is managed and controlled in line with schedule.

¨             Proactively recommend actions to achieve cost reduction and schedule compliance.

¨             Monitor project costs and budget in line with EVM systems and processes.

¨             Coordinate Work Pack Quality Assurance reviews with Quality assurance team
