January, 1999 REMOVAL OF SPEED RESTRICTIONS IN TUNNELS & STATIONS REVAMP
Responsible for the PMC supervision of on-site planning and scheduling for the removal of five permanent speed restrictions. This included track realignment and replacement, rebuilding of tunnels to larger diameters using new tunnel rings, cabling and signaling modifications. Also the upgrading and refurbishment of two stations on the Northern Line which included improvements to platforms, access passages and ticket halls, improvements to lighting and provision of CCTV systems, new cable management systems, repairs to waterproofing, walls and floors and general redecoration. Work to be carried out during engineering hours (non-running of trains) and a total shutdown for nine weeks of part of the system.
