Project Control Specialist
Presently seconded to Petro-Canada Refinery in Edmonton, Alberta PACER Project (Petro-Canada and Colt Engineering Relationship) with Project Controls Department.
• Execute and analyze project cost, planning and scheduling works for Petro-Canada project portfolio – operation/expense and capital projects (prepare budgets, baseline schedules, resource loading, costs analysis and breakdown, quality assurance and review).
• Coordinates with project engineering, construction planning, accounting and purchasing (SAP info) departments in the preparation and update of project schedules, resource status, cost reports and forecast lookaheads.
• Execute and prepare project controls works and schedules utilizing Primavera (P5/P6) program.
• Develop progress measurement and reporting methodologies in tracking and monitoring project works.
• Prepare and develop various reports on project s costs, scheduling, resource loading and histograms, milestones, etc.
• Responsible for assessing and reviewing the accuracy of projects in the efficiency of work process (project phases), procedures, control measures, project control guidelines, etc.

Project Control Specialist
• Develop program schedule in P5/P6 for the Shell Albian Oil Sands Expansion 1 Project in Colt Worley Parsons Calgary office. Analyze the schedule made in P6 to interface with Pertmaster in executing project risk analysis.
• Member of the Colt Worley Parsons Edmonton Engineering Team for the execution of the Froth Tank Area Detailed Engineering (part of the Shell Albian Oil Sands Expansion 1 Project). Multi-discipline scope in coordination with the AMEC/Colt project controls group in Calgary office for the execution of the primavera schedule, man-hours and cost report, establishment of work progress measurement system and progress monitoring. Prepare a small scope procedure in the inter-change of project information between Edmonton and Calgary offices for project controls scope. Coordinate with the multi-discipline engineering team in gathering work status for schedule and progress update. Reports work progress and schedule update to the project manager.
• Member of the Colt Worley Parsons Edmonton Engineering Team for the execution of Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) of the Shell HOIST Project - Temporary Construction Facilities in Sarnia. Prepare the primavera schedule and update on weekly basis with the project team. Prepare the detailed EPC schedule and basis of schedule program.
• Member of the Colt Worley Parsons Edmonton Engineering Team for the execution of Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) of the Petrom/OMV Project – Hydro Cracker Unit (FEED) in Romania. Prepare the primavera schedule and update on weekly basis with the project team. Prepare a preliminary WBS structure for use in the preparation of the detailed engineering schedule. Coordinate with Worley Parsons London office project control and planning group in the update and reporting methodologies of FEED schedule and the development and preparation of Detailed EPC schedule.
• Part-time involvement with the Suncor Energy – Slurry At Face Project (DBM) in the preparation and update of DBM schedule thru the coordination of the Colt Worley Parsons project team and Suncor planning representative.

Project Planner
Seconded to OPTI Canada Inc. Long Lake Upgrader Project at Fort McMurray, Alberta as Operations Project Planner from Jul 2007 to Dec 2007.
• Execute planning and scheduling works for the Opti Canada Upgrader – operations and capital projects.
• Coordinates with maintenance planning, commissioning group, accounts and purchasing departments in the preparation of capital projects schedules, costs budget analysis and trends.
• Prepare work and project schedules utilizing Primavera & MS Project programs.
• Develop Planning Procedures and Flowcharts for the Operations use.
• Develop progress measurement and reporting methodologies in tracking and monitoring project works.
• Sourcing Contractors/Vendors for the execution of capital projects and obtain proposals and quotations.
• Coordinate with Vendors/Contractors for the planning and execution of works.
• Develop and maintain projects cashflow: cost analysis and trends in coordination with project accounts (SAP ), procurement and project engineering.
• Prepare project status reports as per engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation schedules, costs cash-flow and manpower resources (data, graphs, charts).
• Responsible for assessing and reviewing the accuracy of projects in the efficiency of work process (project phases), procedures, control measures, project control guidelines, etc.
