Contract value approximately £3 billion.
Employed as a Senior Planning Engineer in the Prime Contractor Organisation (PCO), for the production of two new 50,000 tonne CVF Aircraft Carriers.
Responsible for a fully Integrated Level 3 Resourced Programme to support the procurement of services for Platform Design & Build, Power & Propulsion Systems, Electro Optical Target Indication, Infra-red Search & Alerting System, Command System, Radar Electronic Support, Measures, Close In Weapons System, Decoy Launching System, Long Range Radar, Small Calibre Gun, Inner Layer Missile System, Communication Electronic Support Measures, Multi-function Radar, Identification Friend or Foe, Underwater Telephone, Surface Ship Torpedo Defence, Air Traffic Management, Obstacle Avoidance Sonar, Instrumented Landing System, Precision Approach Radar, UK Cooperative Engagement, Environmental Support System, CVF Command Applications, Generic CS, Encyclopaedic Data System, Internal Communications, External Communications, Navigation, Power Management, Machinery Control System, Damage Management, Service Management, Integrated Bridge, Common Services, Display & Computer System, Operational Information System, Record Replay & Analysis System, Quality of Life Systems, Ships Administration System, Flight Deck & Hangar Yellow Gear, Arresting Gear, Catapults, Jet Blast Deflectors, Aviation Workshops Equipment, Accommodation areas, Design Authority, Development, Delivery and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) covering preservation, spares, maintenance, plant availability and training for this class of ships to the Defence Procurement Agency (MoD).
Production of fully resourced programmes supporting the adoption of a build strategy based on the latest developments in advanced outfitting and modular construction techniques using Microsoft Project & Artemis Project Views. Provision & Maintenance of programme control processes and work instructions including Earned Value Management (EVM) using Primavera v3.1.
Flow down of the Programme Control Management System to Alliance Partners and Sub-contractors.
Liaison with the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) and other Management Teams on all planning matters. Management of interfaces. Production of monthly reports.
