Emergency rehabilitation of Kabul - Salang - Doshi Road project, (Section 2, Olang - Doshi section), including bridges and tunnels, Total 75 km, 2 lane highway re-design, and construction activities. Total $29.6 M. USAID funded, supervised by Louis Berger Group of USA as a consultant.
Responsibilities: (Reporting to Project Manager)
• Preparing daily, monthly progress reports,
• Preparing progress certificates and submitting to consultant,
• Coordinating the procurement activities,
• Controlling subcontractors progress certificates,
• Planning necessary man power, materials, machineries and equipments,
• Preparation and updating the construction Schedule, dynamic scheduling,
• Participating into progress meetings,
• Slippage reporting and taking necessary measures to complete the work on time.
• Solving the technical problems with the management & with the supervisor,
• Monitoring the Material tests,
• Preparing the required procedures,
• Preparing the claims according to FIDIC,
• Reviewing EOT claims and related Cost claims,
• Preparing counter arguments against engineers` claims,
• Developing strategies for substantiating EoT and cost claims through contractual and technical arguments,
• Coordinating issues with consultant for solving any dispute in quantities,
• Evaluating Variation Orders,
• Evaluating final quantities,
• Participating in negotiations with the Engineer concerning EoT and cost,
• Contract administration,
• Following-up the amendments,
• Outgoing and incoming letter management,
• Controlling of the shop drawings, (and other Document Controlling activities),
• Controlling the asphalt plant productivity,
• Performing Rate analysis for the new items,
• Sifting and compiling contemporary records constituting evidence for the claimed time and cost.
