“Roger is very knowledgeable of both Earned Value Mgmt and Procurement, the subjects that he teaches as part of the Project Mgmt certification program at UCSD. His students come away with a sound basis in both subjects.”

“Roger knows EVMS forwards and backwards and when you attend his class, you learn it forwards and backwards too. He is an energetic and fun person to learn from and work with.”

“I first met Roger Mandel in 2004 as a student enrolled at the UCSD Extension courses for a Project Management Professional certificate. As an instructor, Roger took the contents of two potentially challenging and demanding courses, Earned Value Project Mgmt and Project Procurement Mgmt, and turned these courses into entertaining and enjoyable training sessions. As the Event Chair for the 2011 Project Mgmt Institute (PMI) – San Diego chapter conference, I observed Roger again to be an excellent instructor, volunteering his time and skills to make this event a success and further the values set forth for by the global PMI organization. Roger Mandel’s selfless acts are noteworthy and I recommend him to any hiring manager that is looking for an intelligent, hardworking individual to fill a critical position in your organization.”

“While enrolled in the Project Management Certification Program at UCSD, I took Earned Value Management and Procurement Management, both of which were taught by Roger. I found Roger to be a great instructor. He keeps his students engaged and teaches them what is really important. I also found his sense of humor to enhance the learning process. Some courses can be really dry, but Roger has a way of making them more enjoyable.”

“I have had the pleasure of being a student of Roger's and also working alongside Roger at San Diego State University. Roger is an exceptional instructor who makes learning enjoyable and is able to make hard concepts easy to understand. His knowledge of contract management and earned value is extensive and his experience is deep. He works hard to ensure that his students and clients understand what is being delivered and how to make sense of the data being presented. I am glad that Roger was able to open new doors for me and I found him to be an excellent instructor and I know him to be a hard worker who has vast knowledge in Project Management, Contract Management, Procurement and Earned Value.”

“Hi Roger! Ashley and I just wanted to take the time to thank you so much again for all your help during our two weeks of hell! We were lost from the get go and if it weren’t for people like yourself taking the time to sit with us and talk to us in “layman terms”, we would have NEVER got through that class. It’s a shame some instructors don’t see through the fact that not everyone has an interest or need for such a class and may not absorb as well as others. We apologize for any difficult situation we may have put you in, it was not our intent at all and wanted you to know again how much we appreciated everything, your help was above and beyond. May you always be blessed with the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. Thanks again! Regards, Pam Armstrong and Ashley Szatkiewicz”
Letter to my supervisor: Miriam Cohe, email: Miriam.Cohe@dau.mil
“I would like to take this time to recognize one of your employee's, Mr. Roger Mandel. My colleague and myself have just returned from a grueling two weeks in BCF 203. We found the entire two weeks to be way beyond anything we ever imagined. The class did not pertain to anything we currently use or will be using w/in our current duties so as a result we found it to be extremely challenging and difficult. There were times we were ready to throw in the towel and head for home we were so overwhelmed. If it weren't for Roger, we can honestly say we would have. Roger immediately detected our stress level and sat with us time and time again and explained the content of the class to us in laymen terms. He reassured us and left us feeling so much less confused each night. We can both honestly say if it weren't for him, we would most likely be taking that God awful class over again. But with his assistance and guidance, we were both able to, thankfully, pass the class and be done. While we are both aware of survey's, we didn't feel a survey would really get the point we wanted to make in the right hands. So again, our kudos to Roger, we wouldn't have been able to do it without him! Regards, Pam Armstrong and Ashley Szatkiewicz”
