Edward was one of the more senior officers on the Unit, and because of this, he took the lead on the planning, and execution, of a majority of operations. As well as over seeing operations run by junior officers. Edward helped the Operation Aries improve relationships with other Police Units, and outside agencies, building relationships, thus creating a larger workload and increasing recruitment for the team.

Edward was very good at managing the office workload, making sure that every angle had been covered before any deadlines. He had the responsibility of briefing officers, and was also the liason between the Senior Management Team, and the officers on the Unit.
