Planning (Delay Analyst) Consultant in Doha

Supreme Education Council Headquarters Building – Value 1 Billion QR

  • Producing an EOT analysis through taking certain delaying events which occurred throughout the project and impacting them on the baseline programme. Preparation of a demobilisation plan along with a monitoring programme for non suspended works – additionally I have had to prepare an execution (monitoring) plan for the non suspended works which include site logistics.

Sidra Hospital Development Doha for MEP contractor – Value: 1 Billion QR

  • Constructing an as built programme (Design, Procurement and Construction) on what was an extremely interesting project due to the numerous design changes, this was in aid of protecting the Contractor.

Hamad Medical City Development Doha – Value 1.2 Billion QR

  • Producing an EOT analysis through taking certain events which occurred during/throughout the project and impacting them on the baseline programme – this was in aid of protecting the Contractor from Liquidated damages and to gain the time required for their protection.

New Doha International Airport – Emiri Terminal

  • Gathered information together on activities from the updated programme which was in delay. Through using the jump function in P3 to give screen shots to the site team to investigate further into the driving activities as to where the delays where arising from and the reasons behind them and why they took so long.

The Pearl Doha 300 Million QR

  • Gathering and improvisation of the information from site team to collaborate a document (Multi-Media) for a claim for none payment by the developer for works done and completed. We carried out the works in this way as the record keeping on site was not sufficient to do carry out an as built programme. This has since been successful. Circa 15 million QR.

Disruption Claims / Planning Consultant

Medupi Power Station in South Africa – Value: $15 Billion USD project

  • Included but not limited to gathering and collaborating of information for an as built programme, also investigating events and piecing together bundles for the narratives. This information was used for the assessment into the disruption and prolongation incurred due to the numerous design changes and other contractor’s works given out of sequence priority. This was for time and money and has since been agreed by the client and now a final settlement is being discussed.

April 2010 – Oct 2011 Al Hokair

International Project Manager – Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and KSA

Projects ranged from Value: $50,000 - $15 million

  • Working on the client side, involved on projects and involved in nominating sub-contractors furthermore dealing with Local  Authorities in CIS region (very challenging) regarding planning permissions whilst co-ordinating with Franchise companies (from USA through Europe) updating the development of their brands through CIS regions. Brands ranged from GAP, ZARA , Burberry, La Senza plus nearly 100 more.

August 2007 – March 2010 Al Naboodah

Project Manager – Dubai Terminal 4 Airport Value: AED 4 Billion

  • Management of civil workers and day to day planning for speed of the project to make maximum concrete pours with very high weekly targets. I was also helping the QS team in the back ground to help understand where the company could claim for costs incurred.

Al Barari 241 Villas ( Dubailand ) Value: AED 2.1 Billion

  • Ensure the programmed handover dates for the 1st33 villas of the project.
  • In control of 4 Construction Managers, Planning department and 12 Site Engineers to meet Milestones within the programme.
  • Guidance of daily H&S issues along with the QA/QC team. Being a very prestigious project the achievement of high standards and quality made the focus on workmanship and the fit out of these unique villas of the utmost importance.
  • Meeting with sub-contractors on a daily basis with reference to site co-ordination of Civil and MEP issues.
