Construction Planning – Thameslink KO2 London Bridge & Bermondsey Dive Under GRIP 3 & 4, Network Rail (October 2010 - July 2011):

 

Construction Planning & Optioneering Consultancy for the delivery and construction of London Bridge Station and Bermondsey Station (Key Output 2) as part of the Thameslink Project. Assisting Network Rail in developing a robust work breakdown structure, delivery programme, engineering, construction strategy for various options for the redevelopment of the stations, as part of the Grip 3 & 4 process. Work included identification of the work streams and enabling works that are required before the main construction starts. Programme constraints, logic, alternate phasing and strategy to aid Network Rail deliver an agreed programme of works in line with the DfT's expected timescales. Working to restrictive timescales and changing requirements at short notice to enable the selection of construction option proposals. Develop programme and constructability reports on the selection process for both the Stations and Railway Systems option selection process, with also utilizing Auto Cad applications (Civil, Auto Track) to assist in the report development and general preconstruction planning. Constructability and Planning Reports were conducted for London Bridge main works, BermondseyDive Under main works and the London Bridge enabling works through the Southern Vaults Retail/Toilets & the station service diversions. Assisting in the development of the Possession Strategy and possession planning for the staging of the Railway Systems works around London Bridge & Bermondsey Station. Programme management of the project to deliver against the required timescales. Early identification and resolution of programme interface issues and active management of the interface between the railway systems programme and the station construction programme. Ensuring clear liaison with the enabling works and main works teams to ensure that all facets of work are covered by the work streams and the boundaries between them are understood.
