Position: Project Planner / Scheduler,

Delivery: Budget Planning, Administration, Estimating, Cost/Project control, Procurement, Auditing, Project   reporting, Contract administration, Information Management.

Planning project for Starcomms Telecommunication masts in Bonny Island for NLNG and their data analysis

§  Primary role was to provide a robust resource asset planning/scheduling support required in the execution of NLNG project deliverables across the Bonny Island. Ensuring a benefits-focused CAPEX planning process and data analysis that reflects the organisational strategy, and aligning our business case with that of our client.

§  Preparing all levels of capital cost estimates from Order of Magnitude to a more definite detail as regards the contracted Telecommunication masts in Bonny-Island between NLNG and Starcomms Plc. Maintaining appropriate documentation to support estimate preparation and review, as well as updating the estimating data base.

§  Creating, implementing, maintaining and continuously improving forecast and resource plan for inbound, outbound calls and non-voice workloads, and as well provide data balance of analysis to influence change in Starcomms/Bonny project phase.

§  Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to support capital cost estimates.

§  Developing Project WBSs using project planning and scheduling tools: Primavera/MS Project to depict the total workload in direct man-hours by location, discipline, priority, backlog and fore-log. Monitor and report actual Direct and Indirect (support) Man-hours and Non Productive Man-hours expended at site.

§  Preparing, supporting and providing input to the development of the schedule baselines, including activities and milestones, dependency logic and sequencing, estimating activity durations, determining critical paths, and resource allocation loading and levelling (as applicable).

§  Engaged in providing work direction as required in the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems and practices to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction supervisors, the means to evaluate the progress and execution of assigned projects.

§  Ensuring that accurate data are collected, updated, agreed, revised and built into resource cycle for the area. Assessing the accuracy of all engineering & construction schedules; ensures primavera logic ties are robustly built into the schedules using best industry practice CPM techniques and PERT analysis.

§  Holding weekly resource reviews with operational stakeholders to identify opportunities or risks to the resource plan. Provided feedback to the Project manager and Human resource team on schedule, which usually influences recruitment or ramp plan.

§  Monitoring, reviewing, and analysing the schedule and status of Contractors’ performance, during all phases of the project, as well as schedule deviations and corrective or preventive actions plans.

§  Administered risk and issue logs using excel and updating the project database.

§  Presenting the schedule updates, provide status information for the project and explain schedule variances (if any) from the baseline to the Project Group Planning Team and Project / Construction Manager. Checking required finish dates against planned finish dates, prioritising activity as required and reporting issues to activity owners.

§  Liaised with other functional planners and / or activity owners to ensure all work is correctly represented in Cluster plans.

§  Supporting the schedule change control requirements within the project, analysing the change for its potential impact and advising on the correct course of mitigating action.

§  Impact of any changes and any required mitigating actions.

§  Attending review meetings. Agree progress, identify new work, discuss slippage against the plan and resolve maintenance planning issues.

§  Reviews and confirms that contractor’s responsibilities and reporting requirements per the contract, if applicable, are correct and align, and report the required information.
