BASELINE CONSULTANTS, INC., is a project management firm that specializes in providing project scheduling and control services to the building industry. Formed in 1996, BASELINE has provided scheduling services to owners, contractors, and architects throughout the United States . BASELINE participated in developing the industry leading standards recognized by their clients as a cut above other project management firms. These standards include Overall Project Schedules, Action Item Lists, Material Status Logs, and Progress Photos, which are used to monitor and document the entire design and construction process. These monitors, in addition to the Progress Summary and Short Term Schedules, are issued to all parties involved in the project in the form of an electronically transmitted report following each Progress Update Meeting. This system has been found to be the most effective way to keep the Project Team informed throughout the project duration, and reduces the chances of team members being misinformed or uninformed. As BASELINE acts as consultant on 100 - 120 projects simultaneously, we are able to forecast trends by the experience gained on similar jobs. For instance, labor shortages in recent years have forced activity durations to change and lengthen in various trades. BASELINE’S overview allows us to carry knowledge from one project to another, and thus more accurately predict potential labor delays and material delivery problems.
