I am currently working for Lockheed Martin. The task I have to accomplish had a predetermined timeline which was committed to by the senior Programme Manager to his superiors.

My brief upon joining the contract was to formulate the approach the business will execute current and future projects, my deliverables are to:

·         Generate the integrated master plan (IMP).

·         Develop the integrated master schedule (IMS) Levels 1-5.

·         Set up Earned Value Management System.

·         Establish a baseline for an existing project.

·         Install planning culture.

My approach for executing the task, coordinate the planning effort required.

·         Interview key individuals to gain rapid understanding of the current situation and requirements for the project.

·         Reviewed the current contract deliverables, timelines and status.

·         Formulated the planning approach and developed an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) capturing key Events, Accomplishments & Criteria.

·         Published a draft version for comments.

·         Initially established Product Breakdown Structure, Work Breakdown Structure,

·         Cost Breakdown Structure and established control accounts.

·         Held a planning workshop to generate a collaborative plan on a page for the project.

·         Co-ordinate SoW’s to represent the remaining effort in the form of work & planning packages.

·         Captured a bottom up basis of estimate (BoE) for each control account and developed a cost model to represent project resource and resource profile.

·         Developed an IMS, integrating the project scope and budget in a time phased baseline.

·         Reviewed the IMS critical path and built in contingency to protect key project dates and apply schedule risk analysis.

·         Set up earned value management.

·         Review current project Risk and Opportunity

·         Stream line project reporting.
