Duties:

 

  • Meet client to discuss exactly what is needed.
  • Plan installation work to meet project requirements.
  • Use planning software to prepare a project schedule detailing tasks, key milestones and staffing plans.
  • Work with project manager to make sure that all resources are available when required.
  • Check the progress of the project and ensure that the schedule is being followed.
  • Identify non-conformance and recommend action.
  • Resolve problems that may hold up progress, such as delays with planning permission.
  • Use computer software to collect and analyze figures and to produce reports.
  • Developing Tender Programs from a BOQ ,Drg and scope of work.
  • Ensure contractors provide resource loaded schedules at determined intervals to make sure construction is being completed on time and within budget.
  • Support the use/integration of project and contract management systems into the daily operation of the business.
  • Update and maintain schedule data to ensure project consistency and optimization.
  • Create formal communication plan to both team members and management.

 

 

Acquiring information of works installed in order to determine an actual percentage of progress when updating the construction program, and cross-referencing specific information from client and head office to understand and validate differences between Baseline percentages and actual percentages.
Developing programs for acceleration or re-baseline according to new key dates.
Notifying Site Manger or Contract manager of any foreseen issue’s that might appear according the Status of the situations actuality and the contracts specifics. Working hand in hand with project manager

UNKI Mine(Concentrator Project - E&I Installation) ZIM

266 568 man hours.

The mine was developed as a mechanised, trackless board-and-pillar mine. Underground access is obtained through a twin decline shaft system, one being utilised for the transport of personnel and material, and the other for ore conveyance. Both decline shafts are now on reef, with strike belts from eight mining sections transferring ore directly onto the main decline shaft conveyor. Run-of-mine ore is being treated at the newly established 120,000 tonne per month concentrator plant, which reached steady-state operation ahead of plan in the third quarter of 2011.

 

 

 Thubelisha mine(11kV Power Lines & Electrical Installation) RSA.

182 211man hours

Overhead lines, poles and conductors from the local municipality substation (National grid) to the first incoming sub-station (11kv) on site, including the sub-stations transformer and switch gearwith CT’s and HT cables.

 

IFM smelting plant(Clean Energy Project I & E Installation) RSA

98 802 man hours.

From existing smelting plant (main sub-station) ran new cable to a sub-station 1 and installed transformer, switch gear and CT. Connected 10 diesel generators (22kv). Generated power back into sub-station one and back to existing main sub-station, and national grid. Sub-station 1 powered all electrical, mechanical and instruments for the function of the plant. Project included all racking work and MCC’s.

 


 

Duties:

 

  • Developing Tender Programs from a BOQ.
  • Project Claims
  • Creating construction programs from various schedules of information and construction drawings.
  • Acquiring information of works installed in order to determine an actual percentage of progress when updating the construction program, and cross-referencing specific information from client and head office to understand and validate differences between Baseline percentages and actual percentages.
  • Developing programs for acceleration or re-baseline according to new key dates.
  • Generating S-Curves & Histograms.
  • Notifying Site Manger or Contract manager of any foreseen issue’s that might appear according the Status of the situations actuality and the contracts specifics.
  • Working hand in hand with the site manager & project manager
  • Doing take off on site.

 

Cost Control& HSE Representative

 

Duties Include:

 

  • Controlling of cost on and off site e.g. 
  • Field labour
  • Materials, Matrix Workings
  • Carrying out inspections and report the findings to the Empoyloyer as prescribed
  • In sec 17 & 18 of the Act & Regulations
  • Member of the occupational health & safety committee. Attend all health & safety
  • Committee meetings.
  • Setting up of control measures (S-Curves & Cost Curves).
