Project Controls Specialist

• Have been a member of a highly skilled team of specialists in Parsons Brinckerhoff Global Mining with the mandate to research, develop and implement an integrated project controls platform that is situated in the cloud and would allow for centralisation of procedures, processes and information as well as access to the platform from anywhere in the world via mobile device for either data retrieval or input. The platform that was selected for this purpose was Primavera Unifier and would integrate Estimating, Costing, Procurement, Scheduling, BIMS, Risk Management, Time Keeping, Work Flow Management, Project Performance Dashboards and Project Accounting. For the control of documentation and contractual information the eB solution (also cloud based) was selected.
• Provide Complex Advisory services on Project Planning Networks.
• Setup Project Controls for various Global Mining Business projects ranging from studies to executions.
• Presenting project controls methodologies and procedures to the clients and the industry at Project management workshops.
• Manage the Master Schedule & Database.
• Perform Project Execution according to the plans.
• Co-ordinate the updating of reporting plans and progress
• Provide a Planning and Scheduling function to Project Managers
• Update and Report on Plans and Project Progress
• Provide a Planning and Scheduling function during the early stages in the Project Life Cycle Model.
• Developing generic project phase schedule to be utilised for new proposals.
• Assisting in the implementation of the Global Mining Business project controls platform.
• Assisting in internal Project Controls Audits and reviews.
• Assistance in Project Team (Resource and Role Requirements) during Project Setup.
