Lead Planning Engineer, Laing / Laing O'Rourke, Nuclear New Build (Hinkley Point C)

Currently lead planning engineer for Laing O’Rourkes’ working on the Hinkley Point Workers Accommodation construction project in Bridgwater. The project is a large scale civil engineering project involving the construction & fit out of 900+ pre-built accommodation modules, large scale amenity building, offices, landscaping & highways works.

Currently undertaking a wide variety of tasks as performed by a lead planning engineer and associated with a large scale mutli-disciplined civil engineering project. These tasks include compilation of the weekly management report, collating all progress and actual metrics from site and assembling into a management report including s-curves, histograms and overall project dashboard.

Other general duties include daily, weekly and monthly progress updates of the live programme for contractual submission and acceptance to the client, gathering as-built information from site and production of relevant S-curves and histograms (Resource, civil discipline, man power hours), production of monthly management dashboards and presentations, management of sub-contractor programmes and project controls.

Additional tasks include preparation of EOT claims analysis, claims documentation, narratives & reports for inclusion in submission of EOT & substantial claims & positioning papers.
