David joined Kyle Stewart (subsequently HBG Construction and now BAM Construct) as Deputy Chief Planner in a department of 12 planners. In addition to such projects as the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital ‘Wishing Well Appeal’ project he was involved in numerous projects at tender and construction stage, including projects for Tesco and Marks and Spencer (new stores and refurbishment) and Law Courts and ultimately specialising in ‘major projects’ and PFI work.

David was also involved with the company’s Legal Department and acted as expert witness on a number of occasions, providing an ‘independent’ in-house delay analysis service. This was predominantly matters relating to extensions of time both between employer and main contractor and main contractor and subcontractor.  David also provided evidence for an insurance claim arising from the collapse of a tower crane.
