1996 – 2005:  Brit Tech Business Consulting Ltd., Budapest, Hungary: Managing Director

The BRIT TECH enterprise was a start-up technical services company. Responsibilities included all company matters reported to by technical dept. and sales & marketing executive. Initially (at set up) the task for the company entailed;

  • The oversight and establishment of the original Brit Tech entity as the representative office in Hungary for Primavera Systems Inc. (a US company) within the high-end project management software and services market.
  • Development of the market including the creation of a customer/user base within Hungary and definition of the Brit Tech company profile / mission statement. This included the development of sales & marketing specialist personnel as well as marketing materials.
  • Specification of technical support services and the Bit Tech technical office QA/QC systems covering technical services to clients in Hungary.
  • Over the course of its 10-years the company built up clients and a user base within the Hungarian construction sector, transport, oil/gas as well as telecommunications, heavy industry and utilities.
  • Extensive local language training materials, project management consultancy services and technical support systems for installed software base, including systems integration.

As the above functions were delegated, work-load became; tender / offers preparation, RfQ responses and new contracts’ finalisation; pipeline upkeep and the co-ordination of sales/marketing with Primavera London office; product maintenance and contract renewal; international product orders; tracking of international deliveries; company accounts incl. tax and legal obligations; banking incl. cash flow monitoring/reporting. Additionally consulted and advised on PM methodology and processes within client organisations of Brit Tech.
