This is a Baggage contract where Siemens are the primary Baggage Integration partner responsible for the Electrical / Controls Installation & Commissioning for the New & Existing Baggage Handling Systems across the North Terminal Project. The new complete design incorporated 5 HBS Machines, 2 Sorters as well as the 32 new BAA Check-in Desks. Associated works required civil loading calculations to be undertaken to support the new increased and extensive structure loadings. Numerous footings required breakout and recasting to meet new design specifications. Associated temporary load bearing points needed to be designed to accommodate these additional civil works. Buried service scans where undertaken due to deeper and enlarged footprints.
