Michel Guévremont is a planner and scheduling engineer with 17 years of experiences in Canada and USA. He has worked on major international project such as the big dig in Boston, Miami international airport extension and Los Angeles water treatment plant extension. Michel has been Project Controls Manager for the 300M$ Shipshaw hydroelectric project (Québec, Canada) at SNC-Lavalin and Group Leader of claims avoidance with Kiewit Corporation in Omaha (Nebraska, USA). In Canada, Michel has contributed to planning and scheduling of various hydroelectric projects such as Eastmain-1A and Romaine complex (powerhouses 1, 2, 3 and 4). For the last 7 years, Michel is with Hydro-Quebec where he develops innovation such as 4D simulations and real-time construction systems. He is also the industrial coordinator for BIM research chair associated with ETS Montréal and promotes best practices in planning and scheduling for the construction division at Hydro-Quebec.

Michel is a registered engineer in Québec (Canada) and also PhD Candidate at Concordia University in Information Systems Engineering with research interest on 4D BIM (scheduling and simulations). Michel has obtained a Master degree in industrial engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal with memoir topic on analysis of production scheduling process in companies. He has also done coursework and research projects at the PhD with project resource scheduling and resource leveling. Michel obtained an executive certificate from MIT in innovation and strategy in 2016. He has published about 10 times in scientific journals and conference proceedings. Michel is on the board of directors of the Montréal section of the AACEI since 2014. Michel is father of 3 children.
