Crossrail - (C405) Paddington Project - VVB/Skanska Rashleigh Weatherfoil JV (MEP)

 

Responsible for producing, updating and monitoring the main project programme in Primavera Ver 8.2 complete with all documentation, contract milestones and key-dates, labour and logic linked, together with accompanying narrative, and reports on critical path.

The programme was broken out in a Work Breakdown Structure, reflecting the phases of work, i.e. design, procurement, construction/installation, test & commissioning and handover. The programme was also typically loaded with both labour and materials, as tendered.

Update of M&E Works in the 4 Weekly Look-ahead programme with Primavera and occasionally Excel. Updating Percentage Complete, forecasting completion dates, updating data dates, and labour loading and levelling. By tracking instructions from clients from time of issue to completion, construct, monitor, progress and report on other programmes as necessary using Primavera P6 or, if required, Excel. Where necessary record Early Warnings and the impact on the programme.

 

Attend and report in the weekly Team Progress Meetings, weekly coordinated planning meetings between various contractors on projects, like Skanska, Costain and Byrnes Bros. Working within the NEC contracts delivering programmes with Compensation Event Notices, identifying approved, pending or disallowed CE’s. Cost incurred, with or without lead times and where applicable with programme impact.

Upgrade of the London Underground's SIGNALLING system on the Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, District and Circle lines. I produced plans for the Design, Procurement, Installation, Testing and Commissioning.  The programme contained over 18,000 activities.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Updating the Detailed Project Schedule (DPS) using Primavera P6 Version 8.2 in accordance with the DPS procedure.  Including maintaining the harmonization and integration of sub-schedules from all parties (functions, subdivisions) involved in the project and gathering performance and progress data including timesheet hours via applying actuals in Primavera.
  • Regularly track and report progress against the baseline schedule including earned value and continuously monitor risks and opportunities as well as proactively developing scenarios, mitigation or back-up plans as required.
  • Producing schedule-related KPI's and input for reports as required by the project.
  • Creating detailed Level 5 Schedules and carrying out What-If analyses as required.
  • Monitoring and reporting on schedule progress and deviations within all parties involved in the project.
  • Communicating the DPS, and changes thereto, to all parties involved in the project.
  • Regularly monitoring critical path(s) of the schedule to identify risks and opportunities and develop   mitigation or recovery plans.
  • Ensure that the Project Controller is regularly updated with any and all progress or delays to the DPS to secure that the implications to the EAC are monitored.
  • Ensure that the Risk & Opportunity Manager is regularly updated with possible threats or opportunities derived from present or future deviations to the DPS.
