David has over 33 years of experience in construction; including a trade background, a solid career in construction planning & several chief planner & work winning leadership roles. His experience includes Civil & Building works on often complex & large scale projects, including most notably; Heathrow’s Terminal 5 & Terminal 2A projects, Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3 Concourse 2, Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2 & Canary Wharf’s DS5 Tower. More recently, David has been responsible for Arabian Construction’s Planning & Technical Departments incorporating work winning, construction planning & post-contract work. Based in Abu Dhabi & supported by 70 staff; his recent projects include several high-rise towers in Dubai & Abu Dhabi as well as industrial & oil & gas related civil projects in the Middle-East, North Africa, South Asia & the Caspian regions.

David is a member of numerous industry professional associations, including the Chartered Institute of Building, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Association of Project Management, City & Guilds of London Institute & the Society of Construction Law (Gulf). David is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Construction Law & Arbitration with Robert Gordon University & is preparing his chartered membership application of the Institute of Engineers Ireland.

In his spare time; David is a keen motorcyclist, a Slalom Canoeist & enjoys listening to music of all types. He was previously chairman of the British Canoe Union Slalom Committee & is a Level 3 Slalom Coach. He was also Team Manager of the Great Britain Junior Canoe Slalom Team for 5 years.
