SUMMARY

I am a self driven, results-orientated person with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business deliverables. A wealth of project engineering experience, which enables me to plan, review and deliver key projects to cost and on time. Excellent UK rail construction and commercial management awareness.

I started my career in April 1980 in the Royal Air Force employed as an Aircraft Electrical Mechanic. Working on various aircraft types I soon progressed to become an Engineering Technician, and then onwards into management.
In 1992 I was selected as part of a small team of aircrew and engineers to represent the Royal Air Force in a flying competition held yearly in North Carolina, USA. After 13 years employed around various parts of the UK and Europe I left the Royal Air Force to continue my further education.

From studying I worked in various positions before taking up employment within the Railway construction industry with GTRM, later to become Carillion Rail.

In September 2002 I moved into a Signalling Project Engineer role, where I worked in a small team that successfully delivered the implementation of Train Protection & Warning System (TPWS) in the Midlands region through pre-planning, monitoring and reviewing of labour & materials.
