Role: Regional Manager of Project Controls: UK & Ireland

Aidan is is currently working with Jacobs a multi-national Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management company since 1996 and for the last 20 years Aidan has been involved in UK and international Heavy Engineering, Oil and Pharmaceutical Projects.

Aidan was Project Controls Manager in Jacobs Cork Office from 2000 to 2005 managing a department consisting of Estimators, Planners/Schedulers, Cost Engineers & Quantity Surveyors. In 2005 Aidan was promoted to Regional Project Controls Manager Ireland/UK and is primarily responsible for ensuring consistency of approach, structure & direction in Ireland & UK Offices consisting of a group of approximately 190 No Project Controls & QS personnel.

Aidan is extremely interested in promoting the concept of Value Engineering, Risk Management & Earned Value Management to help ensure project concerns are realised and identified at an early stage in order for proper & prompt action to be taken. Aidan has participated at various Training Panels within the Jacobs Group and brings a wealth of experience to Planning Planet’s Board of Advisors.

Aidan is a Fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors & the Association of Cost Engineers.
