Iam an Indian National working currently as a PLANING ENGINEER at Wade Adams Contracting(LLC), UAE.

We are in to Infrastructure works.Most of my tenure with Wade adams contracting is in Roads & Utility Services in addition to a Airport Project.Depending on clients requirement we use either P3.1 0r P6.7.Company's organization structure for Planning is to report Site Project Management as well as Project Planning & Control Manager.

As a Planing Engineer my job is to

- Develop Tender programs for the upcoming works (if required resource loaded).

- Scope Identification, collect & Review Drawings, Contract terms & Conditions, coordination with site management / Client / consultant.  

- Develop outline of Baseline program in coordination & Submit.

- Incorporate comments & developed detailed base line based on

  • Production rate
  • with Resource loaded
  • & Cost loaded
  • with supporting drawings highlighting the stages of works etc
  • and submit for Final approval

- Periodical Monitoring of Project thru 

  • S-curves & Progress drawings
  • Resource Histograms
  • Progress update of baseline program
  • Earned value

- Periodical Reporting

  • Progress update of baseline program
  • Detailed report in Word format stating the current status of the project in various disciplines.
  • An Executive summary incorporated with summarized data of Planing, QA-QC, HSE, Financial, Risks, Submittal status and others for top Management quick review.

 - This is the general practice for re-measurable contracts, where Design is not our scope. My current project is Design & Build with cost where we are monitoring Design based on weightage factor pre-agreed with sub-contractor for design.

Previous experience

- Worked with Kite Arabia ltd. contacting in Saudi Arabia for 4 years, Indian space research organization in India for 1 year and Al Habeeb consultants & contracting, India for 2years. All are related to building works. worked in various positions starting from Site engineer to Sr.Projects engineer planing.
