Dominick Stuart

First Name:
Dominick
Last Name:
Stuart
Dominick has over 25 years of working internationally, providing high calibre project/portfolio controls across many industries. Dominick’s site background was enhanced by undergraduate construction industry qualifications then formalised by a masters in construction law. After a substantial, successful involvement in post-contract claims and disputes, Dominick now applies advanced performance-orientated cost/planning management skills at project, portfolio and programme levels. In the early phases of projects, acting as an interface between client and contracting organisations, he emphasises robust estimating of expected performance. His collaborative approach increases synergies and forges successful collaborative partnerships, enhancing the effectiveness of communications and greatly improving management reporting. Post commencement, Dominick’s focus shifts to a relentless monitoring of actual performance (cost and schedule) and a continuous comparison with planned/expected performance levels. Using a combination of KPI’s, trending, interrogation, intuition and experience, Dominick’s analysis of actual progress allows the production of realistic and achievable trended forecasts through to completion. Any performance deviations (completion dates or final forecast costs) are quickly identified, communicated and impacts mitigated. Upon completion of the project, Dominick’s orientation shifts and a timely, efficient close-out process delivers meaningful CPI’s/ SPI’s/ KPI’s/benchmarking data. Dominick’s unwavering focus on the management of performance stems from a practical, hands-on, planning and commercial background. To support this focus on performance, Dominick maintains an extremely high level of proficiency in the latest management software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, SAP etc.) and fully embraces the latest trends within current PCM philosophies (WBS, CBS, change management, EVM, CPI’s, SPI’s, KPI’s etc.), The combination of personal experience, modern philosophies and practical experience facilitates the full, accurate integration of cost/planning disciplines. This allows Dominick to implement a robust, comprehensive reporting regime that provides timely, accurate, and all-encompassing summaries of a project’s actual/forecast to completion progress and trended final forecast positions (including forecast performance variances). Dominick combines a very sharp eye for detail with an invaluable focus on the “big picture”, allowing him to accurately summarise and report vast amounts of project specific data at project, programme/portfolio, regional, national and global Levels
