CAREER SUMMARY

Since leaving full time education I have built up considerable Construction industry and general planning experience as a “Career Planner”.

I consider myself to be a “hands on planner”, working to resolve programme issues, I am not a “computer jockey”!

Plan Monitor Control is my motto!

In the early part of my career this was as a Regional Planner working on a variety of projects. I then spent 15 months working in Hong Kong on the new Hong Kong International Airport. Since returning to the UK in 1997 I have had Major Project experience as a site planner, moving on to set up a planning department in Romania during 2006 to 2009.

My experience covers a broad spectrum of contract types, and values. I have been directly associated with most types of construction projects including, Airports, Hotels, MOD facilities, Offices, Industrial, Laboratory, Educational Buildings and Housing.

I have in depth experience of planning at all stages of a project.

I have been actively involved in the prequalification process preparing method studies, prequalification programmes and compiling prequalification documents.
I have performed tender and contract planning duties and also prepared claim substantiation programmes using both data from regular computer updates and site records.

I am well versed in the preparation of method statements, scaffolding specifications, together with information and procurement schedules.

My employment with Drake & Scull gave me a detailed insight into the field of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services planning and co-ordination. It also taught me the importance of pre planning the design and procurement process.

I am confident of working with any of the major software packages in use to day. I am well experienced in the use of Primavera version 3 & 6, Powerproject 8, Pertmaster Professional 6, and Microsoft Project.

In summation I have a proven track record in the field of construction planning, and I am dedicated to providing the best quality programmes and planning service.
