Current RoleI am a self-driven senior planner with over twenty years’ experience in construction on many types such as, high rise buildings ranging in height from three to forty five floors, I also have experience with airport, MOD and over ground railway projects ranging in value from 12m to 60m.

I come from a multi skilled background where my career progressed through to construction management and then onto project planning.

I began planning with Laing O’Rourke where initially I was involved in projects at tender stage, I progressed from there onto live projects where my responsibility as a senior planner was to work within project teams for the life cycle of projects to produce, resource and cost loaded fully logic linked master, tender/construction programmes and strategies, along with cash flows, & risk scheduling. I was also responsible for monitoring, co-ordinating and maintaining detailed project, contract, target and construction programmes, encompassing design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning stages; I also prepared monthly progress reports, tracking live projects, identifying critical activities, tracking cost and resource data; Assisting in the preparation of claims, developing as-built programmes, reviewing contract documentation and preparation of EOT entitlements;

I also was responsible for setup and maintaining of the project control room, the control room is where the monthly contract review meeting would be held and where all of the documents including programmes, kpi’s, dashboards, etc. for client, subcontractor and direct employees. These documents would be displayed and kept up-to-date on a weekly basis and were mainly to be observed by senior members of staff. 

I also held a duty toward mentoring a junior planner through various stages of his development
