(West Coast Route Modernization, Through Alignment Tamping)
I was assigned to the Through Alignment Tamping Contract for West Coast Route Modernization, my duties were as follows:
•Created & updated P3 Plan to Network Rail’s specification.
•Entered worksite requirements into PPS & attended Planning & PICOP Meetings for worksites
•Created & updated 12 weekly (minimum) look ahead plan (in Excel)
•Updated a weekly plan (Race Card) using the 12 week plan as a base, issued to client & management.
•Once work on site was completed, I would Update a weekly report (Wash Up) & again issue it to the client & management.
•Updated progress on an S-curve spread sheet
•Assisted the Planning Manager with urgent short notice Worksites using business cases.
•Liaised with the Client on progress & any issues with the schedule.
•Attended a Progress Delivery & Resource Weekly meeting to discuss any issues from previous week’s work, future weeks work, review the overall plan & update the progress.
•Liaised with Network Rail’s Possession Assurance Managers & other Contractors to resolve issues with current & future worksites.
•Collated an on call pack for on call manager that week.
•Assisted the On Call Manager & carried out Site Access Control duties on site.
•Collated information for the health & safety files for overall hand back of the Project.
•Assisted with the production of RIMINI packs & requested Red Zone Access using the GZAM system
•Planned the Pallas Tamping System Trials
•Assisted others within the West Coast Team where I could & if required
•General planning & administrative duties
