JOB TITLE:          Quantity Surveyor

(Projects of various types from construction to demolition stretching from the Bedfordshire area to the center of London and sometimes beyond that, with values from £5000-£1,000,000)

My function as a Quantity Surveyor within Highground was:
•Record all work that we were awarded and give each one a job number.
•Examine each job thoroughly to determine if any Sub-Contracting was required.
•Send enquiry to the Sub-Contractor and await their quotes.
•Kept a record all Sub-Contractor invoices received & prepared payment sheets for the purchasing department
•Resolved any queries that may have arisen from the invoice; e.g. different quantities on invoice compared to site measure.
•Once a job was completed I prepared the invoices to be sent to the client for payment. Used Mica Build & Greenlight software.
•Met with clients, Sub-Contractors and Highgruond supervisors to confirm measurements for payment.
•Priced for extra work or for smaller jobs using Highgrounds agreed schedule of rates.
•Met with Quantity Surveying Manager, Contracts Manager and Supervisors to discuss general progress of current jobs and the position of future work.
