As an occupational health and safety practitioner it behoves on me to understand myself and others I work with so as to create a congenial working relationship. My role as a safety superintendent should create a change for the attainment of organizational goals namely the safety embedded as 'our first value'. I have to demonstrate this in all my activities by walking the talk. My actions must demonstrate good risk management culture so as to implement systems for significant reduction of occupational health and safety incidence rate.
