A12 Witham Phase 2 Major Maintenance (£7.1m)
Principal Planner for construct only contract under NEC 3 Option C contract conditions. Works located on the A12 trunk-road, Witham, Essex to provide re-surfacing and road realignment utilising 24hr working. Contract involved crack and seat re-surfacing techniques, the provision and erection of 2no. gantry structures spanning the carriageway and construction of a dedicated slip lane to improve the safety of a notorious accident black spot on this busy major commuter route. Role includes maintaining the Contract Programme and Time Location / Chainage programme, providing the Highways Agency 7 day as-built Time Chainage Programmes, daily liaison with Sub-Contractor’s and the Client with respect to construction sequence and technical queries, material ordering, liaison with the Works Manager, assessment of Compensation Events with respect to time and dealing with Early Warning Notifications. Directly reporting to the Regional Director, Contracts Manager and Construction Manager.
