Project Planner
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating effective Project Planning including materials planning for better achievements of organisational target.
- Preparation of Project schedule & S-Curve.
- Preparation of Cost estimation and Budget for the Project.
- Preparation of monthly client billing for fabrication & erection of structures & equipment for project.
- Continuous co-ordination with execution team for the completion of fabrication and erection work within schedule time limit.
- Preparation of details service request for the project.
- Preparation of monthly materials, fabrication planning and Micro planning of erection for project.
- Preparation of Daily as well as Weekly progress report for the project.
- Also responsible for the Planning of major materials used in the execution of project.
- Follow up with the purchase department and vendors for the arrangement of materials for the projects without delay. Responsible for the vendor development & maintain long term relationship with the vendors.
- Responsible for preparation of Technical evaluation of materials for the various offers received from the vendors.
- Responsible for continuous co-ordination with Stores for better materials planning and inventory management & controls.
Other responsibility As Fabrication planner
- Monthly reports of fabrication as contractor wise and also compare with total man power against
- To check the cutting plan.
- To inspect joint fit-up, final dimensions & weld visual
- Coordination with Design and Erection Department for drawing related queries
- Checking Of Material Reconciliation
- Proper documentation of records

* PROJECT
-PLATE MILL:
Hazira Plate Mill's 1.5-million tpa steel plate mill project costing Rs 1,969 crore [21000MT-SCOPE] is scheduled for completion by end-2010. The project, promoted by a joint venture between Essar Group and Stemcor, UK, is coming up at Hazira in Surat district of Gujarat in proximity to Essar Steel's Hazira steel complex.
VAI Clecim, France, is the technology partner for the project that aims to produce wide steel plates of width 5m. Currently, only six producers worldwide produce such wide plates that have specialized applications such as shipbuilding, automobiles and construction.
Key Achievements:
- Significant contribution in completion of project within targeted time period with minimize in over all budgeted cost.
- Successful in efficient materials planning for the timely availability of materials for the projects, which is helpful in completion of project activities within schedule time.
- Capture sound knowledge and experience about procurement activities of various materials used in the project.
- Knowledge about preparation of RFQ (Request for Quotation) for various types of construction materials and evaluation of quotation received from vendors.
- Successful in effective co-ordination with the execution & erection department for the completion of projects within schedule time limit which is ultimately provides profit to the organization by achieving its goals.
- Significant contribution in completion of plate mill project[up to cooling bed-1]
- I was rewarded for Projects “ PRIDE AWARD” for outstanding performance in the month of March’10 [Successfully achieving the structural target in the month of February & March ]

- Drawing study Calculation of Quantity /scope of the work & Preparing Construction method statements
- Preparation of Construction schedules – Over all, Annual & 90 Days look ahead
- Generating FMRs (Field Material Requisition) in PMMS (Project Material Management System) and constraints resolutions.
- Generating MINs (Material Issue Note) in consultation with department leads.
- To maintain the FMR database (for procurement) and track ETA (expected time arrival) /receipt for enabling materials.

This project is in line of Reliance’s strategy to double its refining capacity. Projects envisage adding 27MMTPA refining capacity to the existing refinery. Total project cost is around US $ 6 Bn (Approx. Rs. 25,000 Crore). I am involved in the Hydro treating units (Cocker heavy naphtha hydrotreater and Kero hydro treater unit) and other project interfacing works.
