PeopleCert, our Guild examiner have announced a date for the BETA Test for The Guild of Project Controls

Dear Planning Planet Members,

It's holiday time but as usual, PP towers cannot sleep or even sunbathe.......or rest for that matter.....

Our ambitions are being realised - it's an exciting time

This is an important NEWS UPDATE for reasons which will become ever clearer!....

Two main items this week:

PEOPLECERT, OUR EXAMINER HAVE ANNOUNCED A DATE FOR THE BETA TEST FOR THE GUILD OF PROJECT CONTROLS...

It is the 5th of AUGUST - Not exactly the best time of year - we think though we CAN live with it!

The test will be for Foundation / Beginner Level in PLANNING and SCHEDULING and will be PAPER BASED!

This IS NOT how the final exam will be - that IS computer-based - it does though: allow us to release the test earlier - we know how patient you have been so ASAP was our mantra!

Now, if your company WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART IN THE BETA TEST this is how we'll do it:

  • PEOPLECERT will supply an invigilator to your CLASSROOM or OFFICE wherever you ARE IN THE WORLD...
  • We just ask for a MINIMUM of 10 CANDIDATES and the TEST WILL BE FREE 
  • Passing Candidates will become Guild CERTIFIED at Foundation Level!!!

Your candidates should be relative beginners in Planning and Scheduling and the questions will not require essay or long written answers. They will be multiple choice, drag and drop, fill in the blanks, ranking and sequencing etc.

WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO SIT 200 CANDIDATES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD and your candidates should have between ONE and THREE years experience.

We are proud of the QUALITY of this test and it will set the baseline for all the others....

We hope to be able to supply examples of the BETA test so you can see how your candidates fare....AND the quality....

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS TO FINISH UP......

Q. You asked for candidates before why did you not use them?

A. Now working with the examiner it is only a relevant test if a sample of our intended candidates sit the test.  Those who have previously come forward are being contacted so they can be involved.

Q. Anywhere in the world?

A. Yes, this is the strength of dealing with a global examiner ....10 candidates minimum in the exam room.

  • 700 PROJECT CONTROL PRACTITIONERS ATTENDED - IF WE HAVE A 'SOFT SPOT' FOR ANY OF THE CERTIFICATION BODIES that already exist AACE is the one....our list of FELLOWS bears this out.....we met some good people...
  • THE FACT REMAINS CORPORATE BUY-IN to EXISTING certification bodies has not changed the PROJECT CONTROLS landscape... WE ARE CONFIDENT WE WILL WITH YOUR HELP.....
  • Although our presentation slot on the last day at 8.00am following a party the night before was not helpful...

  • Has HUGE hotels - THE MGM GRAND, THE CONFERENCE BASE HAS OVER 6000 ROOMS!!!
  • For a country famous for convenience - it was a long walk to anything!! Definitely returned fitter!!
