wbs would be how you want to break your piping down into smaller pieces like

You could have 

General and in that wbst mobilization

Submittals?Approvals list your submittals and approvals here 

Procurement list the items that you are procuring 

Then you can break you work down as per this devel of detail

Building

............Area

...............Zone

..................And any other level to here the actual piping is being installed maybe by system or large bore vs small bore

2. create activities and milestones and assign activities to a wbs

3. assign relationships to activities

4. assign resources to activities

5. calculate and assign durations to activities

6. assign costs to resources and activities

7. set schedule constraints

8. calculate the schedule and the budget

9. create a baseline schedule narrative

10. issue for review

11. incorporate comments from review

12. Issue final version

1. create a wbs

3. assign relationships to activities

6. assign resources manhours and costs

7. Create a baseline schedule narrative
