I have just read your original thread and your question - Are these outputs based on 8 hrs a day is irrelevant.

You do not say if the output for backfilling is .22m3 per hour or .22hours per m3 but either way the number of hours per day does not come into the equation.

I agree that pricing books are a good source of productivity rates but you have to consider a number of factors before using them.

1.  Similarity of installation - ie in Rebar is it insitu fixing or off site prefab.

2.  Location - productivity in the UK is not the same as that in other contries.

The most secure source of labour output is in the Price document / BOQ for the project.
