The only way I have managed to do this, is by creating a report that gives me resource hours per week or month, and then when you run the report instead of sending it to a printer, send it as an ASCII file using field delimiter as , and Text qualifier as " Save the file as a text file which excel can then read. Tidy up the data in the excel file and then either produce a graphical representation of the data or a spreadsheet.
To save all this though if you just want a resource histogram just set the print options to show a profile, Whichever resource is highlighted when you go to print will be shown on the profile
