Otherwise all activities will move to the data date as there is nothing telling them they cant start immediately. But if there is no relationship b/w activities, whether you import it or not, it is logical to see the start dates as data dates on the program. Start dates, durations and finish dates are not enough to create a cpm. Relationship of those activites has to be defined as well. I agree with David,
you must have relationships between your activities in order to schedule the work. Otherwise all activities will move to the data date as there is nothing telling them they cant start immediately.
