August, 2012 I am a Quantity surveyor working in the Nation's oil and gas upstream sector. I am in the Engineering technical services division specifically in the Civil and survey section. Basically involved in preparing BOQs, BEMEs, BOMs, schedules of rates, quotations etc for civil and building structures. I also handle some administrative functions like organising meetings, preparing weekly and monthly departmental reports, storing and documenting project reports etc. Recently added cost estimating of not only civil/building structuresto my duties.
