November, 2011 Worked as a project trainee on the basis of main project in Steel complex limited comes under steel authority of India(SAIL)at indoor 110 KV substation.SAIL-SCL Kerala Limited (SAIL-SCL) is the only mini steel plant in Kerala. The company was originally promoted in the joint sector between the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (KSIDC) and a private entrepreneur in 1969. Company set up its mini steel plant in 1972 with installed capacity of 37,000 tons p.a Different electrical equipment used in the substation are transformers (12.5 MVA) sf6 circuit breakers and vacuum circuit breakers of different ratings, lightning arrestors, wave traps, isolators, bus couplers, current transformer, potential transformers, and different types of relays for protection. Different types of protection schemes are used for the protection of 110 KV feeders, transformers and 11 kV incomer and outgoing feeder.
- Switching operations of feeders.
- Operation and maintenance of 12.5MVA Transformers and 110KV Feeders
- Operation and maintenance of 110KV SF6 Circuit Breakers.
- Maintenance of 110KV Current Transformers of 110KV Potential Transformers
- Operation and maintenance of Outgoing 11KV Indoor and outdoor Panels.
- Controlling the subordinate staff as a crew manager.
- Preparing Design, Drawing, Estimation, Costing and work schedule for all emergency maintenance works.
- Operation and service of 1000HP, 800HP and 500HP induction motors
- Operation of transformers of different ratings
- Provide power supply, control supply and remote connection for all the motors, cranes and starters
- Maintenance of starters used for motors (DOL starter and star delta starter)
