I worked in the capacity of coordination and project planning engineer. The project was about the construction of a Two Story Hyperstar (Carrefour) Hypermarket, in Lahore. The project cost was about 15 MLN US$. My main tasks included:
· making a schedule,
· managing costs,
· controlling schedule and costs
· and coordinating the project progress with the client and consultants and reporting back to the owners of the company.
Here I performed the following tasks:
1. Preparing for a construction methodology and schedule for the construction work.
2. Preparing the construction schedule and leveling their need in the schedule to save time and money. (only in the initial part of the project, later this task was undertaken by the consultant themselves).
Once the project started, I was:
a. Preparing project progress reviews,
b. Cost control and cost claims with our Quantity Surveyors.
c. Supervising the construction of the critical components of the supermarket.
d. The construction of vault room was totally my responsibility – Design, Selection of Vendor, Security Analysis, Procurement Conduction and Managing the Installation without disturbing overall schedule.
e. Installation of automatic doors, roller shutters and high tech security cameras.
f. Supervising the fixing and installation the architectural components of the building.
g. Supervising the Construction of 200,000 SFT parking plaza (Two storey).
h. Construction of Access roads.
i. Installation of HVAC chiller plant.
j. Installation of firefighting system and public addressing systems
k. Installation of Electrical Synchronization Panel.
