I worked on as short term construction consultant, where I was supposed to supervise the project for its construction, quality and cost. The main contractor (M/s. Insland Construction pvt. Ltd) was a small company who could not afford an engineering team due to financial issues, therefore employed my services, to help them establish and perform the duties. My main responsibilities were as under:
1. Prepared the planning schedule for the activities to be conducted and the analyzed with the actual on ground action. Afterwards made some modifications in the site activities and brought the construction team inline with the project plan.
2. I was supervising the construction works , pipe laying, leveling (invert levels), bed compaction, backfilling etc.
3. Markation of the variations in the drawings from the tender drawings/ contract drawings, for cost claims.
4. Preparation of cost control chart for the firm.
