Schedule % Complete vs Activity % Complete

hi to all,

Can anybody make me understand that what is the difference between Schedule % Complete & Activity % Complete.

Bcz an activity’s activity complete have 6.82% and when i m inserting a column of of Schedule % Complete the same activity showing 9.09%.

so pls tell me logic behind these factors......
