Prime Cost v’s Provisional Sum

Guys,

Can anyone refresh my memory? What is the difference between a Provisional Sum and a PC Sum?

I used to know the answer but the passage of time has played havoc with my memory.

I don’t have a contractual problem, just a realisation that I don’t know something now that I did know before.
