Ronald, 3 storey construction is not the same as highrise building construction.

Why?  Among the many reasons, one of them, is logistic requirements...

Hi Arman,

I found your post #22 extremely interesting, pointing out as it did the implausibility and impracticality of Charlie’s skyscraper. I’m sure it won’t be too long before Charlie responds with a detailed explanation of how to resolve all of the difficulties.

I’m sure he’ll also get round to supplying the schedule that he promised to so many people as well, however, I won’t be holding my breath.

Sensei,

I really appreciate your idea and I would like to share any idea...

To start with...

1. If our building is 1,500 storeys excluding basements and podium and assuming a fast 5 day per floor structural works cycle using 5 complete form sets, etc...that would take us 7,500 calendar days;

2. At 4,500 m high (14,760 feet) would be beyond air traffic height limitation. We may require sovereignty of our air space;

3. I suggest we need a high altitude helicopter to do that;

4. etc...

Ronald,

The one I’m thinking of generating start design phase (concept, schematic, design development, contract documentation) Tender Phase, Construction Phase and Post Construction (defect liability period).

The Skycraper I have in mind is the tallest in the Universe 1500 storey high above ground level (4,500 meters), compose of three towers (skycraper) within built up area (podium and retails).

fellow PPers,

I believe that even though i did most of my planning was up to three floors , planning for a skycraper from first floor up will almost be the same save for some variation in the design and use of the floor it will be typically a copy of the floor preceeding it .

Am I right? So Charles send me a sample at ronnieksa@yahoo.com to learn some words, verbs and terminology planners are using when planning a skycrapper from ground up.

Dear All,

I’m surprise with the response. Very few are involve in building works, most are involve with other trade. What does this "sample Skycraper CPM means, maybe someday there will be migration to building works.

In my reply no 2

How high is your SKYCRAPER???? nobody answer

You want the sample of the Highest Building in Planet Earth. no answer

Also provide a typical floor area. no answer

"Maybe we can come up with something." This is very important.

What really I have in mind is a collaoboration of the best of the best plannning planet can offer. We, not me alone, will prepare a CPM Schedule using hypothetical tallest tower/skycrapper in the Universe.

How to do this?????

It will be unfold if our work will give us free time.

Cheers,

Sensei

Hi Charles,

By any chance, do you have any logistics plan for the high-rise buildings. I have asked it before on PP, but no help. What I am using now is totally unpresentable. If you have any, plz share. Can send the mail on ravirajab@yahoo.co.in
