On the Gas Turbines a Major Overhaul, Combustion Inspection and 2nd Stage Bucket Removal, and Hot Gas Path Inspections carried out, while on the associated Gen’s 1 Major and 2 Minor Inspections on the Steam Turbine a Major Overhaul carried out on the HP turbine and the LP1 & 2 turbines removed and replaced, the Gen. Rotor removed, rewound and replaced. Monitor progress daily and analyze results to ensure timely completion of Outage. Report results and projections to management. Initially a 3-week contract. This was increased with the prospect of employment on future projects which where unfortunately put on hold due to the American Economic forecast. Responsibilities included the cross correlation of American, European and International Standards of generic cabling systems. Updating and converting IDC telecommunications tender specifications to European version. Introduction to design of SYSTIMAX® Structured Cabling Systems. Contract document administration and planning analysis of project implementation.

c) Detailed planning for maintenance activities involved in Shut-Down work at SASOL 2 and 3 coal to fuel refineries in Secunda. Open Plan and Precedence Networks used. Was complemented and thanked for my input by the Project Manager upon my resignation.

Planned, designed, ordered materials and supervised the erection of sub-contractors site establishment under a section of the hospital that had already been constructed. Co-ordinated material handling from time of arrival on site to laydown areas. Co-ordinated and expedited the drilling of penetrations through the Softspots for services installation. In conjunction with the members of MDC (M&E subcontractors consortium), planned, co-ordinated and monitored the installation of all works. All planning co-ordinated with the Building Construction Section and the Trades and Finishes Department. Compiled supporting evidence for an increase in scope and disruption to works claim. Was awarded additional performance bonuses in lieu of the exceptional progress of the M&E installations.

Receipt, inspection and documentation of all Client supplied materials and equipment. Attended construction and defects inspections with Client and Consultants - issued remedial works Punch Lists to Construction Supervision. Submitted progress reports to Planning Engineer. Measured construction progress and submitted monthly claims. In conjunction with Contracts Manager and Construction Supervisor, drew up and submitted monthly budget forecasts to Head Office. Conducted final measurement of all construction installation. Compiled and submitted final claims. Together with Contracts Manager drew up additional claims for an extended P&G's and additions to initial scope of works. Phase 2 made a 14.5% profit.
